Tagen Towsley Baker is a documentary photographer. She is a 6th generation Idahoan raised in Mackay, Idaho. Tagen holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Idaho State University with an emphasis in photography and mixed media and a Master of Arts in English from Weber State University where she specialized in documenting homestead sites in rural Idaho. In 2019 Tagen completed her PhD in Environment and Society from Utah State University where she focused on water management and women farmers’ experiences in Southeastern Idaho and Victoria, Australia. Her photography is influenced by her love of the Western United States, the high mountain desert landscape, and agriculture.
